Patriot's Day

Most ABI products are manufactured in a 700,000 sq./ft. state-of-the-art facility employing hundreds of qualified U.S. workers. Steel is brought in by rail, stored indoors, cut and milled to specification and moved about the facility via massive overhead programmable cranes. These overhead cranes bring the materials to the welding stations that employ both robotic and conventional welding. The steel components then go through a state-of-the-art cleaning with 2 acid washes and sand blasting. The completed components are then given a architectural grade powder coating. Assembly is then completed by specially trained workers. All this is completed in-house so quality is controlled throughout manufacturing.

We've talked about it before, but this idea of American Innovation carries over perfectly to ABI Sports Turf, our branch of ABI Attachments that includes revolutionary infield maintenance and grooming products and attachments. With summer officially winding down, you might start thinking about the end of baseball season and who's going to end up in the World Series this year, instead of how the field of the Little League team you coach every year looks right now, or how that minor league ball field in your hometown could use a pass or two with an Infield Rascal.

But what makes us think of baseball in these dog days of summer, especially today - September 11, a day where we have proven to rise up as American's with such a deeply-rooted love for our country, is American innovation. There's the old saying, "What's more American than baseball?" And the answer to that could very well be innovation. When the two go hand-in-hand, it's hard to feel anything but pride for what we all do as a nation to keep moving forward, no matter what.

Below is a video for one of our newer ABI Sports Turf products, the ABI Force. Of course, we're extremely proud of this product and the work it does, and what it can really do when it comes to infield maintenance. But for today, when you watch this video, take the time to focus on what's surrounding the product itself. To us, it represents American Innovation mixing with America's pastime at it's best; from the scenery, to the groundskeeper, and everything in between. It seemed like the perfect thing to post on a day like today, as we all continue to move forward and strengthen with progress, our American Innovations.
